Frozen spinach

Frozen spinach is a practical, ready-to-use solution: it is blanched and then frozen immediately after harvest, preserving its color, flavor, and a large part of its nutrients. It is already cleaned and ready to be sautéed, used in fillings, savory pies, or as a side dish.

Compared to fresh spinach, it has an important advantage: it has already been reduced in volume.

Important tip:
if you start with fresh spinach, keep in mind that it loses a lot of water during cooking (up to 80–90% of its volume). So 1 kg of fresh spinach ends up becoming a much smaller quantity.
